Hunting Trophy Gemsbok

Even the most passionate Whitetail Deer and Mule Deer hunters want to hunt something different from time-to-time. Beisa Oryx, also knows as the Gemsbok, offers a new type of challenge – and trophy! The East African Oryx comes from the family of antelopes, and thus puts up a great fight with long running legs and stamina to spare. The Gemsbok can weight nearly 400 pounds and stands about three feet at the shoulder. They have a brown and white face, and ridged horns that average 4-5 feet long. Hunting this exotic antelope will be the experience of a lifetime.

Gemsbok live in herds of 5-40 animals with the females leading the grazing herd while the males guard the rear. East African Oryx live in semi-desert conditions and have developed a special ability to store water inside their bodies to prevent dehydration.
