South Africa Hunting Safaris

Affordable Wingshooting, Plains Game and Big 5 Hunting Safaris on Private Game Reserves in South Africa and the Kalahari in Hunting Lodges and Luxury Tent Camps

Our picturesque Reserve is located outside of the city of Kimberley, which is situated very close to the center of South Africa, right at the eastern edge of the Northern Cape Province. The soil is primarily red sand, which facilitates our style of hunting, the traditional African walk-and-stalk. This habitat consists of diverse terrain with numerous trees of the acacia species, typical bushveld as well as high rocky hills making for challenging and exciting hunts. We have an abundant number of diverse species and are well known for large trophies in our reserve.

Many of our Trophy Hunts take place on our privately-owned land located in South Africa. We focus on impeccable Buffalo, Sable, Lechwe and White Rhino Trophies along with many other species. We offer Lion and Elephant hunts in the Northern part of South Africa & in the Kalahari. We also offer traditional Big 5 safaris with luxury tent accommodation together with our partners in Tanzania. We also offer exceptional Wing Shooting.  Our shoots are one of the best in South Africa!

South Africa Wing-shooting Trips and Outfitters

Affordable Prices and Packages for No Limit High Volume African Rock Pigeon and Dove Hunting in South Africa

We hunt African Rock Pigeons and Dove, which are found in phenomenal numbers. These birds are considered to be one of the most challenging birds in the world of wing shooting due to their uncanny speed and unpredictable flight patterns. Attracted by the broad fields of sunflower, maize and wheat, the fast-moving Rock Pigeon and Dove provide abundant wing shooting opportunities.  Because of the recurring abundance of birds there is no bag limit and shooters can expect to make between 300-500 shots per day.

Wing shooting season in South Africa is March to July

On a typical wing shooting safari the day begins with a delicious freshly prepared breakfast then off to the fields. There is a morning shoot followed by a delightful in-field prepared meal for a midday break.  After lunch there is a 2nd shoot and finally back to the lodge for sundowners and bonfire snacks followed by a mouth-watering dinner and lots of laughs and stories about the day.

Bird Hunting and Plains Game Hunting Package Combination

Our classic wing shooting safaris are often combined together with hunting safaris. Wing Shooting with Heritage Safaris has garnered high praise due to the meticulous organization and detail that go into preparations of our shoots and are often compared to similar high-volume bird hunts in Argentina. The wing shooting season in South Africa is best between March to June.

Dangerous Game Safaris in South Africa

We’ve built its reputation for quality dangerous game hunting Safaris

We carefully manage our Reserve to produce the best trophy heads. Our PHs know the habits and traits of dangerous game and pursue them with a sincere passion ensuring that every adventure will be an individual, unforgettable experience full of excitement.

Cape Buffalo Hunting in South Africa

Buffalo hunting is definitely our specialty. This hunt is probably one of the most exhilarating and often a favorite amongst our hunters. These hunts are always different so you never know what to expect. We have a large population of Buffalo on our reserve with very large trophy sizes to make any hunter proud. A 7-day safari is recommended for a Buffalo hunt.

Rhino Hunting in South Africa

Spot and Stalk Hunts for White Rhino

We are committed to the conservation of the white Rhinoceros. We provide habitat for overly mature, non-breeding bulls & cows as well as young, healthy breeding groups in our reserve. Through our breeding efforts and regulated and controlled hunts we are proud to say we have a role in the longevity and conservation of these magical animals.

Rhino hunting regulations are very strict in South Africa. An application for the permit must be submitted to the Nature Conservation department no later than 6 months prior to the hunt taking place and is meticulously reviewed for approval. We offer 5-day packages for a Rhino hunt and it takes approximately 4 months to receive a hunting permit.

South Africa Elephant Hunts

We offer Elephant hunting safaris in South Africa as well as Zimbabwe. Elephants are abundant in these areas. The population is growing, and removal of select individuals is part of the management plan to protect the habitat of the reserve. This is the holy grail of all hunts for any avid hunter. To be faced against an elephant is like no other experience. Nothing can compare to this feeling. We offer a 7-day Elephant Safari in South Africa and a 12-day Elephant safari in Zimbabwe.

Plains Game Hunting Safaris in South Africa

South Africa possibly offers the largest variety of plains game species than anywhere else

South Africa offers the largest variety of plains game species than anywhere else. We have an extremely vast variety of different plains game species on our reserve, which include all the best known on the list of any avid hunter. These species have developed over the years with the best genetic specimens. For this reason, there is no need for the hunter to waste time on seemingly endless and exasperating road trips in a fruitless attempt to collect animals on their species list. All the species are found on our reserve.

Bow Hunting Safaris in South Africa

Our methods of hunting are walk and stalk and archery ground blinds

Our reserve offers tremendous opportunities for bow hunting, which would exceed any passionate bow hunter’s expectations. The thrill of the hunt is heightened when going after some of Africa’s toughest game with a bow. Our experienced Ph’s and trackers have guided many bow hunts and are experts at getting as close as possible to the targets to ensure that out hunters get the most out of their experience.

The preferred months for bow hunting are May to September as the vegetation is dry and a lot less dense. A permit is not required to import your bow into South Africa. All species of game up to Buffalo are permitted to be hunted with a bow in South Africa. “Thick skinned” species such as Rhino, Elephant and Hippo are not permitted for bow hunting. Please contact us if you wish to find out more about Bow Hunting in South Africa.
