BIG GAME HUNTING ALBERTA, CANADA

WHITETAIL DEER HUNTS DURING THE RUT

There is no baiting of deer allowed in Alberta. You will not find fences, food plots or genetically bred whitetails hunting here! This is a 100% fair chase hunt in the whitetail’s natural habitat.

Alberta has some of the biggest, heavy, dark antlered deer in the world. Our area is 85% forest land (public land) and 15 % farm land (private land). There are over 1 million acres of land in our wildlife management unit, yes that’s right over a million!! This means lots of territory for your guide and outfitter to cover and also lots of habitat for your dream whitetail!

This is a stand hunt, no driving around, and no pushing bush!  Expect to hunt approximately 8 hours per day. While you are waiting for your trophy, your guide and other guides as well as your outfitter are out scouting and keeping up with deer and deer sign

EARLY SEASON ARCHERY WHITETAIL DEER HUNTS

Early season archery whitetail deer hunts offer the hunter an excellent chance for success

ARCHERY WHITETAIL DEER BOW HUNTS

The hot summer days are coming to an end and the bucks are still in their bachelor groups and travel from bedding areas to feeding areas. The early season bow hunts are very successful due to hard spring scouting and summer long surveillance in anticipation of hunter arrival. Archery hunts are mostly conducted on private land with limited use of public land, hovering on the fringe area near the lodge.

There are 13 1/2 hours of daylight in Alberta at this time of year which allows us to hunt twice a day.  We hunt whitetails in the morning and evening with a break in the mid day for lunch and a “siesta.”  We have approximately 50 stand locations with new expansion every year so we don’t over hunt stand sites. Stands are located on travel routes to bedding areas for morning hunting and adjacent to feeding areas for evening hunts. Each hunter will get a “fresh” stand for the duration of their morning set. Evening hunts are usually conducted along field edges or funnel points leading to food sources.

CANADA MOOSE HUNTS

Our Moose Bow hunts offer the hunter an excellent chance for success

We recognize the value of a potential once in a lifetime hunting experience and as a result have strategically designed this moose hunting experience to satisfy the patience and persistence of a genuine HUNTER!

Our archery moose hunts take place at the end of September and beginning of October as the seasons change and the fall colors emerge. This is the peak time when bull moose consistently respond to the call. This time of year has proven to be the time when there is the greatest opportunity for archers to have up close and personal experiences with 1200 pound trophy moose. The crisp, cool Alberta mornings will echo the call making for a truly ultimate archery moose hunt.

We choose the best hunt locations based on scouting bucks throughout the summer, knowledge of the area; their bedding areas and food sources. This area is all forest land, and has excellent moose habitat. The moose area is approximately a 30 minute drive from the lodge and is mostly conducted on foot with calling sessions in the morning and afternoon.

One of the most exciting thrills as an archery hunter is when a bull moose comes crashing in to investigate the call.  Shot distances of 7 to 40 yards can be expected. After a long, hard day of hunting you will come back to a home-cooked meal, hot shower and comfortable bed.
