Along with its safari partners in Zimbabwe, offer you the opportunity to hunt in the UNFENCED traditional big game safari areas for free range plainsgame.
The Eastern Cape is an ideal area for introducing any first-time hunter to a hunting safari in Africa as it is blessed with 6 of the 7 different biomes, thus giving the hunter a wide variety of game to choose from. Vegetation in this area is predominantly thick Valley Bushveld, made up of Pork Bush (a nutritious succulent) and subtropical thickets that break up periodically into grassy plains. Most hunting is done using the spot and stalk / walk and stalk method.

When you go out hunting, you will be teamed up with a fully qualified Professional Hunter and his/her tracker. We urge you to practice shooting from long tripod shooting sticks, as there is not always a convenient tree or fence post to rest on. Shooting distances vary from 80m to 300m depending on terrain and vegetation.
A natural upgrade to the 7 day package is the 10 Day 7 Animal package. With this package you will be exposed to more of Africa’s wonderful variety of species of game and hunt in some of the most scenic areas of the country.
The East Cape’s Valley bushveld is home to the largest population of Africa’s grey ghost – the Kudu. This same habitat is home to the Southern Bushbuck and is an ideal hideaway for the Nyala and Cape Eland and perfect for hunters seeking a special challenge opt for the Super Spiral Slam.

Huntin’ ‘n’ Fishin’ Safaris, Africa, is a small trophy hunting outfit, owned by Wayne van Aarde, based in Grahamstown in the MALARIA FREE province of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Wayne was born and raised in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, and grew up hunting on his family farms in the midland and lowveld regions of the country. Today, Wayne is a resident in Grahamstown, where he lives with his wife, Tracy, and son William. Wayne is a fully licensed Professional Hunter.
