We offer trophy whitetail deer hunting, upland bird hunts and turkey hunting in Kansas. We hunt on 15,000 exclusive acres of private land in and around Salina on private land hunting farms in Ottawa, Cloud, and Saline counties off of interstate I-135 in hunting units 7 and 8. We have around 300 ladder stands, 50 box blinds, and lots of ground blinds in wood-lots along river and creek bottoms, with crops weaving in and out of these bottoms.
Our Kansas Whitetail get the protein they need for horn growth easily and therefore can produce massive racks. Once that Kansas Whitetail Buck has reached 4 ½ he has reached the class everyone is looking for, he has become a Monster Kansas Whitetail! This is why we so strongly believe in management of our Kansas Whitetail Deer and have a minimum rack score of 140. We do impose a $1000.00 fine on a hunter that shoots a buck that scores 140 or less. This as you can tell is very important to our future and is the only way we can be sure that we will have a constant supply of Big Kansas Whitetail Deer to hunt every year.
$3200 – 6 Day Whitetail Muzzleloader Hunt
$3200 – 5 1/2 Day Deer Bow Hunt
$3500 – 5 1/2 Day Whitetail Deer Rifle Hunt 1st week
$3400 – 5 1/2 Day Rifle Hunt 2nd week
Muzzle loader is the first season of the year it is in late September. At this time of year we are hunting over standing crops. Kansas Whitetail Bucks are in bachelor groups and are patternable!! They are living in the soy bean, milo, and corn fields. The corn is generally cut by the time season starts so we don’t have to fight that as cover. This is when we see for the first time other than trail cam pics what Kansas has to offer. We see some of the biggest bucks of the year for the first time during this season.
We make use of our 300+ ladder stands and 40+ box blinds but mostly at this time we hunt off of a folding chair tucked in along the edge of the field. There is a lot of cover with the crops standing and the weeds and trees still being leafed out. It’s generally warm during this hunt so we only hunt mornings and evenings. The great part of this hunt is, if you spot a big Kansas buck feeding in an area and you can’t get a shot he will be there again tomorrow. We like to have you at ground level most of the time so that if you need to adjust a little to make a shot it’s possible to move with all the cover and get the job done. As with all Kansas deer hunts weather plays a big part but this is generally a highly successful hunt.
We only offer bow hunts in October and November during the pre-rut, rut and beginning of the post rut. For our Kansas archery deer hunts we currently have around 300 ladder stands up on our farms and we are continuously adding more. We try to have one for each wind direction in each pinch point, travel corridor, river or creek crossing and bedding area. All the stands are flagged every 10-15 feet to the edge of the field with pink ribbon and on the pink ribbon we put DOT reflector tape. We only believe in running hunts when it’s the best possible time to kill a Trophy Kansas Buck.
RIFLE SEASON: Our Kansas rifle hunts are in late November and early December. The Rifle season starts the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving. We have 40+ box blinds and adding each year. Some of these are elevated and some are not depending on the situation of the farm. These are set up facing areas that deer generally always feed in. We also corn up these areas several days before the season starts and keep them baited during the season as needed. This is post-rut and the hunter will probably see some chasing but it’s not flat out rut, its tapering off. Kansas Whitetail have been through a lot by now and need energy so the corn really is appealing to them at this time. The hunter should see anywhere from 10 or so deer up to 70 per sit depending on the farm, weather, and many other conditions.
All hunters will need to apply for the Kansas non-resident deer tag $554.53 (now includes hunting license) in the month of April this must be done by the last business day in April. Generally there are some left over tags available in late July and they sometimes will last until early August but there are absolutely no guarantees that there will be any left overs at all. Hunters will also need a Kansas non-resident hunting license which is $99.50. ( this is now included in the price of the tag application) Kids under 16 non-residents are $42.50.
What place better to hunt Kansas Pheasants and Quail than in the middle of the state!! We typically charge $500.00 per day per gun for 1 to 3 people. Groups of 4 or more save $50.00 per person per day at $450.00. Since we only take one group at a time it’s very important to book early to get the dates you want. We like to get a $100.00 deposit from each hunter in the group to secure the spots.
Rooster!! That’s what you’ll hear the guide yelling when you step in a field full of Kansas Pheasants while hunting with Pipe Creek Guide Service. Kansas Ring Neck Pheasants have been the upmost attraction to non-resident and resident hunters for decades. Vast fields of tall CRP grass and hedge rows offer great cover and habitat for Pheasant and Quail.
We like to get started about 7:30 in the morning which is generally at that time of year just after sunrise. We will hunt until noon and then break for lunch at a restaurant (on us). We generally chase our Famous Kansas Ring Neck Pheasants until noon. We finishi up with a roost hunt for Pheasants in the late afternoon. While hunting Pheasants with Pipe Creek Guide Service the hunter will see numerous Pheasants and have opportunities to fill his or her bag limit (4) daily. Generally all hunters fill their pheasant bag limit unless they are just having a bad day.
Come hunt our great population of Kansas Bob White Quail. Our afternoon hunt for Bob Whites is action packed. With our growing numbers of Quail, we generally get into 8 to 10 coveys a day.
Occasionally the hunter will have a rare opportunity at the fastest flying bird Kansas has to offer, the Prairie Chicken. This is a very unique bird built like a grouse that flies at a cruising speed of around 60 miles an hour. If the hunter is interested in hunting this ever increasingly rare bird, arrangements can be made.

GETTING HERE: If you are considering flying, one can fly to Wichita or Kansas City. Kansas City is 3 1/2 hours from us but it’s a very easy drive. Kansas City also has a small plane that flies several times a day to Salina which is only 25 miles from us. Wichita is 2 hours straight up I35 highway most hunters fly into here because it’s the closest commercial Airport. Airport pickup is available at Wichita or Salina provided arrangements are made with us ahead of time. We charge a small fee to pick you up and take you back.
Get ready for the Kansas Turkey hunting trip of a life time! We offer 3 day fully guided, or semi-guided 2 bird Turkey hunts with a stay in our fully furnished lodge. We hunt in units 2 and 3 on 15,000 acres of private land in Ottawa, Cloud, and Saline County. Located in the middle of Kansas means its right in the heart of the best Kansas Rio Grande Turkey hunting possible. All the birds in this area are Rio Grandes and produce the beautiful cream to almost bright white tail fans. These birds are very aggressive in nature and roam a fairly large area daily. In Kansas our timber is smaller and our fields are bigger than many other states so we can see them from a long way away. We can spot a bird in a field, slip up a creek bank and set up on him in minutes. We can hunt all day and on Sunday.
Plan on hunting all day if you want, we know that’s why you’re here so were ready to go!! Generally we hunt a roost in the morning then we will try to spot birds in a field and work them during the day. In the evening we will go back to a roost area or locate a roosted bird for the next morning. We have blinds set up close to roost areas and feeders for kids, rainy days and for those who like to Bow Hunt our Kansas Rio Grandes. On the Average the hunter will hear anywhere from 5 to 25 different birds gobbling on the roost depending on the day and the weather. He should see at least 10-15 different gobblers a day and often the hunter will have opportunities to tag out with both birds in one day and sometimes in a few minutes!!! On the average a mature Kansas Rio will have a 9-11 inch beard, and anywhere from 1 inch to 1 3/4 spurs. Now and then we will kill a bird with spurs as long as 2 inches.
Kansas Turkey tags are easy to get you can buy them over the counter or online anytime along with the Kansas hunting license. If you don’t have it all when you get here don’t sweat it we will help you get it, and make sure your legal.
