Grizzly Bear Hunting Outfitters BC

With a total of 60 years combined experience our grizzly guides have guided both rifle & bow hunters successfully in Canada since 1985.

We concentrate on tidal grass flats where these big bruisers search for food. Many of the valleys are still in winter conditions, so these big bears migrate to the coast for the lush greens of milder weather, some traveling distances of 200 miles.

Black Bear Hunting Western Canada

This area of BC has a very good reputation for producing large black bears. Black bears in excess of 7 half feet have been harvested annually.

Our area has a very good reputation for producing large black bears. Black bears in excess of 7 half feet have been harvested annually. The reason for such big black bears is simple! A combination of a long growing season, the abundance of berries and a high protein diet of salmon which the black bears enjoy in the fall. We also have an area that produces Island bears. See Jim Zumbo”s article “Surf side bruins” below.

Canadian Moose Trophy Hunts

Our exclusive area is just south of the Yukon border, so these Canadian Moose are of Yukon proportions….as large as they get.  If you’re looking for a Yukon sized rack for your Canadian species, look no further.

Fly-fishing outfitters in British Columbia

Canada’s Salmon & Steelhead fishing at its best! We have many of BC’s exclusive rivers & streams to choose from. World class fishing for silver king, pink, chum and Sockeye salmon are available.

Q Spring Inland Grizzly Bear Hunts

Hunting Grizzly by river

Our inland area produces the largest bears. It has all that the coast has including huge berry patches and huge salmon runs. In the spring the grizzlies emerge on the adjacent hills from were they feasted on salmon in the fall. The grizzly's here aren't lured to the coast as there is lots of vegetation. We consider them to be local bears. Grizzly's are spotted on the hills and slopes and are stalked on foot. This is physical work but worth the effort. The long days of spring give us plenty of time to spot your trophy. These areas produce bear in prime condition and will square 8.5-9ft

Q Fall Coastal and Inland Grizzy Hunts

Two hunters and their prize trophy grizzly bear

Our coastal Grizzly hunt and inland Grizzly hunt focus on the salmon runs. The coastal hunt produces good bears in September. October our inland area really turns on. We walk numerous creeks looking for trophy grizzly. The areas we hunt are tight and often wind is a big factor. Tree stands are used as are ground blinds. Scent eliminating gear is essential as these big bears only give you 1 or 2 chances. We have a very good success rate with nearly 90% of our hunters bagging a grizzly since 1985.

Q Spring Black Bear Boat Hunts in Alaska

Black Bear Hunting in the Spring

Black bear hunting in the spring is mostly done on the ocean shoreline, where bears concentrate on the first available green grass after emerging from hibernation. We cruise the inlets and fjords in search for trophy black bears. They are often congregated on massive tidal grass flats, it is not uncommon to see 3-4 mature bears feeding in one place. This hunt is especially suited for hunters with limited physical abilities or for hunters that just want to relax and enjoy the comfort of a boat hunt. Salmon, king crab and prawns are caught on a daily basis

Q Fall Black Bear Boat Hunts

Black Bear Fall Hunts

Black bear hunting in the fall is similar to our spring hunt. We cruise the inlets and fjords and hunt the many salmon rivers in the area. We walk or jet boat the many rivers and creeks in search of the trophy black bears. This is a very exciting hunt with many close encounters, great for bow hunters. Fall hunting is complimented by excellent salmon fishing and daily crab feasts available on this hunt.

Q Spring Black Bear by River Boat Hunts

Our huge guide area supports many river systems. We hunt areas only accessible by jet boat. The scenery is breath taking. Black bears concentrate on the mountain slopes and river banks feasting on the first available green grass after emerging from hibernation. The average black bear harvested are in the 6.5'-7' range with the odd bear surpassing 7 feet, hair quality is excellent. Camps consist of cabins and wall tents. This is a quality hunt, expect to see many bears!

Q Alaskan Brown Bear Truck and ATV Hunts

Quality bears! Hunt the many different valleys accessible by truck and atv. We hunt the logging cut blocks and mountains slopes. Our guide area has endless opportunity for this hunting method. My neighbors on Vancouver Island hunt this exact same way with great results. Years of logging in this area has created a vast network of roads and great bear habitat. The black bear population has exploded in this region with 7 of the top 10 black bear in B.C. taken right here in the north coast. We boast 100% opportunity on record bears. As with all our hunts they are a spot and stalk hunt. We do not use bait or dogs.
