The Lodge looks like the main hacienda in one of those Classic Argentine Estancias from the XIX Century. Our little secret is that the lodge is only eight years old. A perfect blend of classic South American architecture and modern amenities create a lodge with all the comfort that an International hunter needs. Eight comfortable suites with either Queen or King size beds give you the chance to bring a large group of your family and/or friends to share the trip of life time. Santiago lodge is located just 35 minutes from the Santiago del Estero airport.
This Lodge has been built in the heart of Patagonia, the greatest Wingshooting area in South America.
You will see thousands of Dove flying back and forth in the sky all day long. It is not unusual to shoot more than 1,000 rounds in the afternoon. For a completely different kind of shooting experience, we also offer lodge-based Dove and Pigeon shooting in the Cordoba Province of northern Argentina. The area is world-renowned for unlimited shooting of wild Pigeons and Doves that have become pests to the farmers because they are in such high numbers. Enjoy the comforts of one of our superb lodging partners in the evening, and experience a volume of shooting that’s hard to match.
We hunt over Dogs! Cinnamon Duck, Teal Duck, Whitefaced Whistling Duck, Bluebill Duck, or Yellowbill Duck Hunts Available.
We hunt ducks over dogs (or without) but we have trained pointers at your disposal. Waterfowl life is magnificent and abundant. It is possible to get more than 40 ducks per gun a day in twelve different species. This shooting is done on blinds over decoys on the many lagoons and marshes of the area.
We have superb wild California Quail hunting and Perdiz hunting during the fall shooting season. These are done over German shorthair dogs. The Patagonian landscape offers rolling hills that give way to more rugged mountain peaks. It is dry with a variety of prickly shrubs, cactus, and grasses that provide perfect cover for massive coveys of California Quail. A good pair of hunting chaps or brush pants is a must to pursue birds in this country; as well as a good pair of boots that cover above the ankles. April and May are autumn in this hemisphere, so you may be leaving for the hunt in crispy cool weather.
Focus on wingshooting with our trained English Pointers and expert guides, or combine hunting with fly fishing, for the ultimate ‘cast and blast’ experience. The country in the south of Buenos Aires Province is gorgeous and looks like a picture post card. Argentina also has more birds than any other country.
