The roebuck can be met on the entire territory of the country, from the mountain forests from the Carpathians to the interior rivers watersides and the Danube waterside. The hunting typically takes place on foot, slowly approaching against the wind being as silent as possible to avoid alerting the Roe buck. It is also possible to take a position in a high seat and wait for the Roe to approach, however this is not so popular because takes time and the hunters prefer to be active. The trophy consists of the horns with the skull or a part of it.

Very adaptable to the environment conditions, the wild boar can be equally met from the alpine forests to plain areas and even in the Danube Delta. A special charm of the wild boar hunt is granted by the use of dogs. Usually, the trophies weighted over 150 kg, being even trophies of 300 kg.

The fallow deer was once an endangered species in Romania, but as a result of the repopulation measures taken by the competent bodies, at present in the Western and Southern area the population was recovered.
The hunting is made by stalking in the visited places and still-hunting at the bell places.
The series top of the trophies from Romania is up to 204.06 CIC points, and the first 10 trophies were homologated with over 190 CIC points.

The development of this symbol of the Carpathian Mountains was strongly affected by the development of the human society, the stags going in time to the high mountain regions.
At present, due to the measures taken by the competent bodies from Romania, the stag population was recovered, and they can be met in the planes and the hills forests, but mainly in the Carpathian arch. Developing in their natural environment, the stags from Romania have greater sizes than the ones from the Western Europe. Thus, the stags can weight over 250 kg. You can get all kinds of trophies, up to Capital ones.

Carpathian chamois is only indigenous to Carpathian Mountains of Romania and can be hunted only in our country. This subspecies is the biggest of all the rupicapra family in terms of both trophy size and body size. The hunting area lies usually from 1000 m .The hunt is carried out on foot.

King of the Europe forests, the bear is the greatest carnivorous animal met in Romania, where, in the hill and mountain areas is found the bigest desity of brown bear population from all Europe. Exceptionally, bear can even exceed 400 kg. The hunting methods are: of delay, seizing and with beaters. The trophy consists of fur and skull. Worthy to remember is the fact that the biggest world trophies at fur and skull were from Romania. Thus, the fur world record is owned by a trophy of 687.79 points and is from 1983, and the skull world record has 69.47 points and is from 1994.
Also, the most valuable 10 brown bear furs and 5 from the first 10 skulls around the world come from Romania.
