Our black bear hunts are run along the Porcupine Provincial Forest which produces some of the best black bears in North America. We are located in the northeastern side of the province, nestled against the pristine foothills of the Porcupine Provincial Forest. This vast wilderness that covers over 1.5 million acres with its towering stands of timber, breathtaking river valleys, and its many tranquil lakes offer a panoramic and picturesque setting for hunters to experience a true hunt for the trophy of a lifetime. The trophy bucks in our preserve are a product of over 22+ years of a very intense breeding program that has always put its focus primarily on growing a wide big framed 6+6 whitetail with long tines and the huge mass that is so common in a Saskatchewan whitetail buck. Approximately 95% of the mature bucks in our preserve will score over 180 SCI and approximately 60-70% of those will score between 200 and 265+ SCI every year. Hunters enjoy incredible hunting experiences for monster bucks throughout our entire 4 month trophy season, taking high scoring bucks all the way to the end. Our trophy hunters typically average over 220 SCI for the season.

Woody River Trophy Hunts offers a limited number of free range whitetail hunts every season in and along the Porcupine Provincial Forest, which covers the North side of the prestigious Swan River Valley. This huge expansion of timber, lakes, rivers and farmland gives the deer plenty of cover and an abundance of food to reach their genetic potential. Our areas along the Woody River and other northern river systems are laced with big spruce, thick willows and poplar trees that provide us with many dark chocolate antlered bucks. All of our hunters will be placed in heated ground blinds with leather office chairs over bait stations to ensure a quality Saskatchewan experience. We don’t know the score of these bucks. It would only be “guess-ti-mating” anyways. When you hunt with us you decide yourself which one of the many bucks you see will be the trophy buck for you, regardless of what he will score.. The last thing we want you to be worried about when that monster buck of a lifetime materializes from the dense undergrowth is how much he is going to cost. We want you caught up in the excitement and thrill of the hunt all of us search for every time we enter the woods.

Woody River Trophy Hunts offers a limited number of fall black bear hunts every season in and along the Porcupine Provincial Forest, which covers the North side of the prestigous Swan River Valley. The Swan River Valley has long been known as having some of the best black bear hunting in the world! This huge expansion of timber, lakes, rivers and farmland gives the bears plenty of cover and an abundance of food to reach their genetic potential.
We take a high percentage of bears each year that weigh over 400 pounds and are over six feet in length. Our areas along the Woody River and other northern river systems provide us with a high yield of color phase bears. These areas consistently produce chocolate and cinnamon bears with an occasional blonde.

Our Trophy Hunt is our premium hunt where hunters go out and hunt our wilderness preserve for monster Saskatchewan whitetails! We have a yearly average around 220 inches every season with a couple 300 inch bruisers taken every fall! On this hunt hunters can expect to see bucks ranging in score from 180-265+ .Our preserve is situated along the Woody River, in old river bottoms that have grown up in thick timber, making the terrain perfect for big whitetails! On this hunt, hunters can take any buck they see regardless of score and the price stays the same!
