South Africa Bow Hunting Trips

Archery Hunting Safaris

Bow Hunting is mainly done from permanent hide-outs set at waterholes and paths frequented by animals and constantly monitored by trial cameras.

We recommend a fast and quiet bow of 50lbs upwards for plains game which are mainly hunted with a crossbow and fixed blade broad-heads. Dangerous game will require a minimum 80lbs and heavier bow. It is important to study the shot placements (featured below) of each specie you intend to hunt beforehand for optimal success.

Feel free to bring both your rifle and bow on your trip. There will be ample opportunity to utilize both weapons.

Mozambique Free Range Hunting Safaris

We will take you back in time to an “old school safari style” campsite with comfortable tented rooms. Our Mozambique Buffalo Camp is powered by solar and generator systems, providing running water with a choice of hot or cold showers. This camp is built on the banks of the Nuwanetzi river.

Our privately owned camp, borders the Kruger National Park and Mozambique. Also we have concessions in the North West Province. It is only two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg Airport. And also less than one hours drive from the world renowned Sun City, Pilansberg and Madikwe Game Reserves.

South African Outfitter and Professional Guide

Roche grew up in the hunting industry. His father taught him everything about hunting from the age of seven. After he finished school he embarked on a journey across the world until the age of 21. He qualified himself as a Professional Hunter under the guidance of the well-known Professional Hunter, Johan Calitz. Roche has personally hunted all of the plains game as well as the big five.

Roche has guided and assisted numerous clients from all over the world including USA, Germany, Holland and Saudi Arabia. He is passionate about his profession and strives to give his clients a quality hunting experience. As a result many clients return to Roche Safaris to hunt with him.

Roche’s wife, Ansu is an internationally qualified beauty therapist. She accompanies him on all his safaris to take care of the finer detail. This is what makes them such a successful team.
