At Stoney River Lodge, we offer bed & breakfast style cabins, lunches, fuel and logistical support for federal & state agencies as well as mining, archaeology and exploration concerns.

ALASKA GUIDED MOOSE HUNTS

There are many superb Alaskan trophy bull moose over the vast secluded hunting areas around our camps. Bulls taken by our clients have always averaged well in excess of 60” spread, with typically 90% success.

WE KNOW WHERE TO LOOK!!

We have the right personnel and equipment to get the job done. During this time we have seen populations fluctuate, laws and seasons change and predation have it’s effects, but to date we have always maintained an average antler spread well in excess of 60″ and success at between 85% and 95%.

For past 20+ years Stoney River Lodge hunters have consistently qualified for SCI record book and many for Boone & Crockett records. Current #1 all time Safari Club International grizzly was taken with our client April 2013.

Our Grizzly Bear Hunts

Eight foot plus grizzlies are hunted as soon as they come out of hibernation. Guided Caribou Hunts in Alaska

BARREN GROUND CARIBOU

Located in the heart of caribou country – you’ll find your trophy amongst 100’s of majestic animals. We deploy camps in areas of local herds as well as migrating animals.

• Massive antlers, flashing white mane, hunted in the remote tundra of western Alaska.
• Local herds are monitored thru August and September to give you the best possible chance at a quality trophy bull.
• The Alaska black bear and wolf can be taken on this hunt and usually some high quality silver salmon fishing can be done.
• Difference with our caribou hunts: Our lodge (base of operation for your hunt) is located within GMU#19–the heart of caribou range in August and early September!!
• When researching outfitters and/or flying services for your caribou hunt, ask for a list of their clients that hunted the same hunt last year.
• You can expect us to provide an honest effort, quality camp and gear, a qualified and knowledgeable guide as well as every effort to locate you in the right place at the right time for a chance at a good bull.

The Sheep Hunting Adventure of a lifetime….

Alaska’s dall sheep are found ranging in areas of open alpine ridges, meadows,

and steep slopes with extremely rugged “escape terrain”. They are high country animals and are one of the greatest trophy animals. The hunt, while not easy, will provide rewards and satisfaction to last a lifetime.

Our Alaska Sheep Hunts

High success on full curl+ rams. We know where to find the big ones!!. Exciting new areas. If you are in good “sheep hunting shape”, expect to take home a nice ram. You will hunt in an area where berries are in abundance, where the black bears spend most of their time in the fall, or combine a spring hunt with northern pike and shee fish (tarpon of the north) fishing. Average bears taken by our clients square in excess of six feet.
