Royal outfitters UK is a Scottish based outfitters but we cover all of UK. Our most popular hunts are the Scottish red stag and the traditional driven pheasant hunting, but we offer so much more that 1st class hunting. You can bring your whole family or even a couple of family’s can come together. Whilst the hunters are hunting the non hunters can sightsee, visit castles or shopping. We have first class food and entertainment at our Victorian lodge including bagpipes.
Joe has been the head game keeper and estate manager on some of England’s and Scotland’s premier and private estates.
He has guided some of Britons wealthiest and high provide hunting clients on hunting expeditions all over the British Isles specialising in bird and deer hunting, covering the six native species of deer in the UK and all game bird species including Pheasant, Partridge, Grouse, Duck, Woodcock and Snipe.
Here at Royal Outfitters UK we know the difference between a hunting trip and an all-out experience/holiday that you will never forget with friendships that last a lifetime.
Planning and preparation is the key, at Royal outfitters we listen to each client and together we plan a trip that the individual is looking for.
We will research the trip for you and if necessary we will do a “dry run” to ensure that everything goes smoothly to plan when the hunter is here.
We can even tailor make your visit to incorporate a few stop offs in historical areas for sight-seeing, photographs or shopping. Places like Loch Ness, Balmoral Castle or one of our world famous whisky distilleries to name a few.
Please feel free to email us with any potential enquiries, we will help where we can!
Royal Outfitters UK has access to many different estates in England, if you like the idea of bird or deer hunting in a traditional English setting this maybe of interest to you. The terrain in England is a little easier going than Scotland but no less interesting.
Because England is quite compact its very convenient to combine two or three different hunting experiences in one trip.
On several of the estates we use its possible to hunt three different species of deer and combine it with a day driven Pheasant and Partridge shooting.
I highly recommend hunting in England for its smallest deer species Muntjac and the UK’s rarest deer species Chinese Water Deer.
Scotland is world famous for many different reasons, one of which has got to be the scenery. You could travel the world and still not find anywhere as breath takinly beautiful, steeped in mystery and history, every glen has a castle with hundreds of years of history.
Scotland has a wide range of animals to hunt but Red Stags have to be top of every hunters list. It is Scotlands largest mammal and with no natural predators these beasts are free to rome all over the UK but because there’s no natural predators these magnificent animals have to be controlled by hunters and if this isn’t enough Roe deer, Sika deer, Fallow deer, Goat, Wild Boar and Fox are also available.
Scotland is also well known for producing some of the best bird hunting in the world this includes Pheasant, Partridge, Duck, Woodcock, Snipe, but without a doubt the Red Grouse shooting has been perfected to such a high standard that any bird hunter would consider a days driven grouse to be a ‘bucket list’ event.
Here at Royal Outfitters UK we have excellent connections and on the rare occasion we have availability to hunt Racka Sheep, Mouflon Sheep, European Bison and even a 20 point parkland stag!
Usually 8 guns are required, but we can often make up the extra numbers required or find a day for one or two guests to make the extra numbers up.
Traditionally all guns meet for breakfast with a briefing of what will happen on the day including safety talk.
You will be chauffeur driven around the estate and placed at your shooting stand with an experienced guide, that will stay with you throughout the day.
They carry your gun and cartridges and give you shooting advice during the day so you are free to enjoy your shooting.
You will be treated like an English Lord or Lady for the day.
Very little walking is involved in driven bird hunting, the birds will be carefully and skillfully pushed in your direction, this can be any amount of birds from a handful to hundreds.
Your job as a skilled bird hunter is to hit your targets as they come into range everything else on the day is taken care of for you.
Bird Hunting days range from 50 birds per day between 8 hunters to 500 birds per day between 8 hunters.
We also arrange a simulated bird hunt with clay targets to practice and warm up before trying the real thing.
Royal Outfitters UK is owned and ran by Joe Croot with his wife Susie working behind the scene to ensure all emails and general admin are taken care of in a prompt and timely fashion.
