Matetsi Unit 3 is situated on the lower end of the Matetsi blocks. Matetsi Hunting Concession Unit 3 – Big Game and Plains Game Trophy Hunts

We currently have quota available in Matetsi Unit 3. Unit 3 is located in the prime location which forms the corner bounded in the south by Hwange National Park,west by the Zimbabwe/Botswana international border, the north by Matetsi Unit 2 and the East by Matetsi Unit 5.

Unit 3 consistently produces large elephant and averages over 50 pounds a side each season, bulls in excess of 65 pounds are regularly taken. Buffalo and lion are numerous whereas leopard are around but never easy, it is leopard.

Matetsi is famous for producing world class sable and Unit 3 is no exception, other species in abundance are kudu, waterbuck, zebra, giraffe, impala, hyena and warthog. In addition to the ‘big game’ hunting, clients can also take a day off to enjoy an afternoon of superb bird hunting, particularly – guinea fowl, francolin and sand grouse.

Access to Unit 3 is from Victoria Falls International Airport a relatively short 1 hour drive. This in turn makes for side trips to the Victoria Falls for sight-seeing and shopping easy to arrange if observers join in on the safari.

Lodging is in a luxurious remodeled lodge with some tents available on request. All the rooms in the lodge is air conditioned. With a swimming pool overlooking a vast valley of grass and water, a lot of elephant and other plains game are spotted from the lodge and pool area.

In the heart of Zimbabwe, on the South Western shores of Lake Kariba is Sijarira, offering visitors hunting and fishing. It is a forestry area and one of Zimbabwe’s most rugged concessions. Its hilly country means that the area is not well developed in terms of roads, therefore, some areas are only accessible on foot. Hunting is mainly by boat, vehicles and on foot with our top Sijarira hunting safari packages.

Both Chete & Sijarira are owned by our partner in Zimbabwe so this allows us the very rare opportunity to move between the areas without much hassle should one of the areas not produce the necessary movement or action that we need.
